Entry #2 Social Networking and Reality.

"Cyber space is not reality, it never will, it will never have that human element, that only the eye, and the soul, and the voice can feel and see. We're human beings, social networking is not bettering mankind by any means."

I want to go swing dancing now. After watching this video it all makes sense to me. . . Everything Jarett says is true. Yes technology is evolving into something bigger and better, but it is also breaking us, who we are and what we are. . . piece by piece. Being so sucked in by the mgical powers of Facebook and Twitter as well as other social networks is making us adapt to a different world. Our own world where we put up social barriers, we develop social hysteria and social phobia to the point where we are depressed.  These websites keep us away form our real friends and our true selves. Besides the fact that it is making us crazy, we are too relient on technology. It not only fills the pockets of the creators but it also gives them what they want. . . control. Yes you and I my reader are giving other people control of our lives. Uh . . . I don't know about you but that is not alright with me, I didn't even realize I was doing it!

"Tangable creations are helping us find out our worldly existence a lot better than social networking."

I'm saying technology is not the enemy. . . but it can be if we let it. Let's not let it! Let's go swing dancing! Let's create things with our hands and feet, let's go out on dates with our friends and family. Who cares be all mushy, be you. . . don't let social networking suck you in it's dark hole. Let's think outside the box. ❤☮

A lot of Music Here and There

I don't know about you guys, but I am constantly on the search for great music.
New bands, new artists, new genres, and more.
I am happy to introduce to you Burberry!
It is this channel on Youtube that has a great variety of music. By great I mean GREAT variety. I literally spent hours clicking on videos looking and finding such great music.
Here are just some of the talented artist on Burberry.

What appealed to me about Mallie was her voice. God she has such a raspy and soulful voice. It is truly beautiful.

The instrumentals!!!!!!! Oh my God . . . the instrumentals, his voice, I melted. I listen to this song hours on end. ♪♫

And now I introduce to you my favorite band. With so much great music out there, I thought I would never have a favorite band. That all changed when I heard General Fiasco. ❤ The lead singer Owen has the perfect voice, the sound of the band is perfect, their attitude is entertaining, they are just amazing! I want to go to a concert of theirs!! One day, one day . . .

Entry # 1. Blogs Blogs Blogs.

With so many good and bad blogs out there, entertainment is never short I say.

The three blogs that caught my attention for good or bad were: Cupcakes and Cashmere, I Can Has A Cheezburger?, and Hyperbole and a Half.

The first one to go is Cupcakes and Cashmere, this one has got to be my favorite blog. Just by looking at it you must think; "well of course you'll like it, it's girly, you're a girl!" True, but there's food, so it also appeals to you men. This blog influences me to become a chef... a well dressed chef. I love that it is about fashion and I love that Emily (blog owner) includes a lot of her recipes. The layout/colors and the way she photographs her pictures makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I also love that her style is a classic vintage type of style, I like vintage. The picture of the shrimp rolls appealed to me because I make the same kind, except with a different wrapping tortilla thing. (They are yummy!) This blog is an overall creative masterpiece.

Next to go is Hyperbole in a Half. I don't like this blog, there's something about it that makes me feel a bit queezy and disturbed. This little figure person thing that comes out is just annoying looking. It is because of the colors and the way it is drawn that causes my reaction towards it. The only thing I kind of liked about the blog was that it has some humor in it. Humor is humor no matter how weird looking it is. This blog makes me panic. It makes me want to run and hide like the last picture.

I found myself on page 50 of I Can Has A Cheezburger? ... it was jus too cute. This blog is all about animals, tons of different kinds of animals doing or "saying" funny things. I love anything that can make me laugh and it being cute animals... c'mon, who doesn't fall for that? The layout of it is pretty plain but who cares! It gets its point accross, it makes you laugh, it's cute and it makes you happy. I think I have said cute one too many times already. Overall, it's a cute blog that makes you want to keep clicking to the next page.

Who am I?

I do not not know how to start this post. I'm one awkward blueberry. My name is Rosa, hello! I am 18, I graduated from Maryvale High School, I am artistic and adventurous. I love to write, read,  draw, take photographs, and play the guitar (classical). I love music! It is because of the guitar I got to travel to some amazing places such as: New Mexico, Las Vegas, and Washington DC. The last picture was in New Mexico as I was hiking up the snowy mountains. The second and fourth picture were both photographed by me, Washington DC was a beautiful place to travel to. My guitar ensemble (as seen on third picture) was amazing we won gold at the Heritage Festival we went to compete at while we were there.  I hope to travel to more wonderful places in my lifetime. I could go on and on about guitar because overall it gave me tons of wonderful memories to never forget, but I won't!  I also love animals, at one point in my life I was truly convinced I was bound to be an animal cop or zoologist or marine biologist or farmer or horse trainer ... the list can go on. Somewhere along the road of life I realized what my true interest was, and that was helping young teenagers cope.  Now I am here at GCC doing what I have to do to become the best adolescent psychologist. I want to be successful. I want to be happy, and I want to be the ears for many troubled teenagers who feel that they don't have anyone listening. I want to care for many. Well that is enough of me for now. Comment let me know something about you my reader.
